I Don't Feel Like Writing Anything Today
I'm tired, so here's a bunch of articles I read:
Caffeine experts call for warning labels for energy drinks
Some scientist says energy drinks should have working labels because the amount of caffeine in them varies by a factor of ten. The article also talks about some clever things manufacturers do, like classifying their beverages as dietary supplements, to get around FDA regulations.
The Third Wave
I just read an awesome psych experiment called The Third Wave.
Basically, a high school teacher was covering Nazi Germany in his history class and a student asked how the Germans could claim ignorance about what Hitler was up to. He decided to demonstrate this to his class by enacting strict discipline in his classroom. Like the Stanford Prison Experiment, it got out of hand by the end of the week and he ended it. It's long, but a really good read. Enjoy!
Guns Don't Kill People...
And neither do people who own them, apparently. I just read an article about Kennesaw, GA, a town where gun ownership is mandatory. Since this legislation was enacted in 1982, crime has decreased dramatically (burglary down 89% according to Wikipedia) in spite of a substantial population increase. I was surprised. Read it.
The Internet is a Scary Place
I've found a couple of things worth sharing. First is this:

I think you can guess what it is.
Something to Read
I found a couple of neat articles I thought I'd share:
Genetic Basis for Language Tones is about exactly what it sounds like: they found some genes responsible for language tonality.
